Sidechiq wins her lawsuit against her boyfriend’s wife for using her photos on social media
A Harare lady recently accused her boyfriend’s wife of disturbing the peace and brought her to court in a daring maneuver that was witnessed by the entire courtroom.
Fabina Charuwanza reportedly filed a lawsuit against Stella Mwenda, the wife of his boyfriend.
She said that by sharing images of Charuwanza on social media and purportedly following her, she had broken the peace.
Charuwanza persisted in her request that her photos be taken off of Mwenda’s phone and that there be an instant stop to the sharing of her photos on social media. Charuwanza asserted that she was unaware her partner was a married man.
“I didn’t know that they are lawfully wedded because I saw his profile in a singles WhatsApp group,” Charuwanza stated during the proceedings.
Mwenda expressed her sorrow and disclosed the pressure on her marriage, blaming Charuwanza’s participation for their lack of intimacy and her husband’s absence from home for the last four months.
After a heated exchange of arguments, Magistrate Sharon Mashavira found in favor of Charuwanza and gave her the peace order she had requested against Mwenda.
