Claims that the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) intends to move its headquarters from Ghana to Nigeria have been denied.Travel packages
According to recent media reports, WAEC’s activities have been negatively impacted by financial difficulties brought on by the Ghanaian government’s debt to the company, which has sparked talks about a possible relocation.
But according to John Kapi, Head of Public Relations at WAEC, no such decision has been made, hence he has denied these rumors.
“There hasn’t been any discussion in this direction. So the law that established WEAC indicates that the headquarters of the WEAC will be situated here in Accra.
“Ever since there has not been any change to that. So, I guess that we cannot confirm that we have not had any such discussions and there are no plans as such.”
