Squad selection for the world cup will be difficult – Otto Addo admits
Otto Addo, the Senior National Team’s head coach, has admitted that choosing a team for the 2026 World Cup will be challenging.
He asserts that there are several athletes from Ghana who are dispersed over the globe and would be eager to play for their nation.
As a result, he will have trouble choosing a team to represent the nation.

He stated this to the media following Ghana’s victory over Comoros to guarantee a spot in the 2026 World Cup.
He said, “Ghana has so many good players. It’ll be difficult picking the squad for the World Cup”.
On qualifying the Black Stars for the World Cup twice, he acknowledged that it is a big achievement for him.
“It’s a big achievement to become the first coach to qualify Ghana for two World Cups,” he said.
