The beloved Headmistress Cynthia Anim of the Aburi Girls Senior High School (SHS) in the Eastern Region passed away suddenly. The school is in mourning.
She was in Rome, Italy, attending an educational session with the Deputy Minister of Education, several senior high school heads, and a few chosen pupils when the awful occurrence happened.
Cynthia Anim was a devoted teacher who gained recognition for her efforts to raise the standard of secondary education in Ghana.
This tragic incident happened when she was taking part in an international workshop intended to raise educational standards.
Students, teachers, and parents alike expressed their profound sadness to Rev. E.A. Asiedu, Chairman of the school’s Board of Governors, in an official statement.
He praised the late Mrs. Anim as a visionary leader whose vision and efforts greatly enhanced Aburi Girls Senior High School’s academic performance.
“With the sure hope of the resurrection, we regret to inform honourable members of the sad and distressing news of the passing of our Headmistress, Mrs. Cynthia Anim.”
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and the entire Aburi Girls Senior High School community.”
An emergency board meeting has been called for Monday, September 30, at 10 a.m. in the school’s boardroom in response to this significant loss. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss arrangements and the next steps in the wake of Mrs. Anim’s passing, making sure that her legacy continues to inspire the school’s mission.
