Sam George, the Ningo-Prampram member of parliament, has openly disputed that he is the owner of a car that was seen in a viral video with the modified number plate DJATA, making it clear that the vehicle is not his.
In a response posted online, the outspoken MP addressed rumors sparked by the video, which featured a sleek car with the name Djata prominently emblazoned on its plate.
“My attention has been drawn to this video and attempts to suggest the said vehicle belongs to me. The claim is FALSE!” he stated firmly.
Sam George pointed out a key detail often missed by those making the claim—the spelling. “Anyone who knows me knows I spell my name as DZATA, not DJATA as on the number plate.”
He also took a moment to thank well-wishers who may have assumed he had made a new purchase. “I appreciate those hoping I have bought a new car this year but I have not bought one yet.”
According to the MP, his current attention is elsewhere. “My attention right now is on DSTV’s response, which is required by Monday, July 21, 2025. “Thank you,” he said, referring to his continuing relationship with the satellite television provider.
