Ghanaians have been urged to give Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia the opportunity to lead the country by Nana Ntori-Bonkyi Akomea, the Chief of Nkwantakese in the Amenfi East constituency of the Western Region.
Speaking at Asankragua in the Amenfi East constituency during Dr. Bawumia’s campaign visit, Nana Ntori-Bonkyi Akomea referred to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party and former National Democratic Congress President John Mahama as two Northerners in the 2024 election, but she felt Bawumia deserved to be the winner.
This election is going to be between two Northerners. We know one of them, the old one already, because he has had his chance…The other Northerner is new, who has only been a mate and is now requesting that we should hand over the steer to him. We have all seen on a few occasions when he got the opportunity to test the car that he can drive smoothly. So should we not give him a chance to also drive the car?”, Nana Ntori-Bonkyi Akomea said.
He stressed; “Let us all give him a chance to drive the car because he has proved that he is capable of driving considering the work he has done even as a driver’s mate.”
Nana Ntori-Bonkyi Akomea however urged Dr. Bawumia to ensure completion of the development projects in his community saying “I am not saying if you win. I believe you have won already by the grace of God, so I am saying when you become President”.
