Ghana chooses: List of NDC and NPP MPs not contesting in election 2024
Across the nation, the general election for 2024 is presently in progress.
In separate parliamentary primaries held by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), some members of parliament lost their bid for reelection, while others chose to withdraw from the contest earlier.
Both returning Members of Parliament and newcomers will be part of the next Parliament, which will start on January 7, 2025.
However, more than 60 current Members of Parliament will not be returning to the House since they either decided not to run for reelection or lost in the primaries of their respective political parties.
