Chief of Staff revokes all public sector appointments made after December 7 elections

Citing non-compliance with good governance principles, the Office of the President has ordered the annulment of all appointments and recruitments made in Ghana’s public sector after December 7, 2024.

Chief of Staff Julius Debrah directed all heads of government institutions to revoke such appointments and provide a thorough report on the measures taken by February 17, 2025, in a notice sent out on February 10, 2025.

As the administration changes, the mandate is consistent with the government’s position on maintaining accountability and transparency.

It is anticipated that government agencies would follow the directive and provide the president with a report within the allotted period.
