Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, the minority leader in the Ghanaian parliament, has urged the people of Mankessim to unseat the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia NPP administration and make it abundantly evident to other politicians that the people’s will cannot be taken for granted.
He claimed that the country’s future, which is currently moving in the wrong path, will be decided by the next election.
He accused the NPP government in power of wrecking Ghana and bringing the nation’s economy to a standstill, causing suffering for the people of Ghana and issuing a warning that the people of Ghana should not tolerate such appalling behavior.
Dr. Forson claims that the NPP government has gone on a borrowing binge, accumulating an astounding GHS761 billion in debt with little to show for it.
Apart from that, he said that the debt swap scheme was an act of wickedness committed by the government that should be punished by the electorate because it took away peoples’ hard-earned money.
During his campaign trip in the Central region, Dr. Ato Forson was giving a speech at a stakeholders forum at Mankessim in the Mfantseman constituency.
Teachers, traders, artists, and leaders of the Muslim and Christian communities were there.
Assuring that the NDC will enact transformative policies to promote micro and small companies and artisans, he asked the assembly to embrace President Mahama’s agenda for the nation.
He restated President Mahama’s promise to build a contemporary Mankessim market modeled after Cape Coast’s ultra-modern Kotokuraba market.
