Senior member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Hopeson Adorye, who currently serves as Director of Special Duties for Alan Kyerematen’s Movement for Change, has revealed plans to form the Jail Them Advocacy Group.

This group’s goal is to persuade the ruling party to hold the former NPP administration’s officials responsible by 2025.

Mr. Adorye claimed that several former NPP appointees were implicated in heinous corruption, calling them “thieves in government” and “filthy corrupt” who took advantage of every chance to further their own interests.

Even though Mr. Adorye admitted to being appointed by the NPP in the past, he made it clear that not all party members were as dishonest as those he criticizes.

On Thursday, May 2, 2024, during an appearance on Accra 100.5 FM’s Citizen Show, hosted by Nana Otu Darko, Mr. Adorye announced his plan to gather evidence supporting a list of people he believes to be highly corrupt, present it to the government, and file a lawsuit against them.

He underlined how crucial it is to reduce corruption in government in order to reroute funding for the advancement of the populace.

By saying that former President John Dramani Mahama seemed like “an angel” in comparison to the current administration, Mr. Adorye also alluded to an impending apology to Mahama.
