Kofi Adjorlolo, a seasoned Ghanaian actor, has shared his genuine enthusiasm, saying that he initially intended to pursue a career in music rather than acting.
Adjorlolo revealed on The Liz Show with Elizabeth Essuman that many people thought he was destined for a career in music as a child because of his innate skill.
He described how learning to play the trumpet at the age of eight marked the beginning of his musical career. His perseverance eventually earned him the opportunity to play with well-known musicians like Sir Victor Uwaifo and Gyedu Blay Ambolley.
“I love music so much that as of 8 years old, I could play the trumpet so well,” Kofi disclosed.
He even got to perform with such great musicians as Sir Victor Uwaifo and Gyedu Blay Ambolley.
Even though his acting made him a household name, Adjorlolo acknowledged his dissatisfaction with the difficulties Ghanaian actors endure. He cited the absence of insurance and inadequate support networks as significant obstacles for industry professionals.
“Honestly, I wouldn’t encourage my children to go into acting. The current situation in Ghana isn’t encouraging, attractive, or enabling for young ones to thrive in this field. Do we even have insurance to back our actors and actresses?” he stated.
