Applications for teaching staff promotions to Deputy Director, Assistant Director I, Assistant Director II, and Principal Superintendent have been formally launched by the Ghana Education Service (GES).
GES emphasized in a statement signed by Ag. Deputy Director-General (MS) Prof. Smile Dzisi that candidates must adhere to the qualification deadlines.
“An applicant should have been promoted to the required rank in or before 2020 and should have been continuously at post since the date (except for approved leave of absence),” the circular explained.
GES has made it clear that candidates who depend on Master’s or PhD degrees need to make sure their programs align with the authorized GES course of study.
“The Master’s/PhD certificate should not have been obtained before the previous promotion… Applicants who wish to use the Master’s/PhD certificate for ADI, ADII and Deputy Director promotion should have obtained their certificate in or before 2022,” the notice stated.
On the mode of application, GES directed teachers to apply online. “An applicant should complete the application form online via https://bit.ly/gespromotions2025 or scan the QR code provided.
