Dec. 7: 99 curses await those who will attempt to rig the elections– Osofo Kyiri Abosom warns
Christian Kwabena Andrews, also known as Osofo Kyiri Abosom, the founder of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), has announced intentions to hold a press conference with a unique twist in an effort to discourage election tampering.
The Ghanaian politician and priest revealed in a televised interview on Adom TV’s The Big Agenda with Nana Ampofo Adjei that he will hold a public ceremony on December 1 at 2:00 PM, pouring libations and reciting 99 curses against any people or organizations attempting to rig the results of the elections scheduled for December 7.
“The goal is to pour a libation and curse those who will try to rig the elections,” he said, stressing that the intense and drawn-out ceremony will be performed with the intention of delivering 99 distinct curses.
He underlined that he will employ customary spiritual methods to guarantee equitable results, citing worries over previous claims of rigging.
Furthermore, Kyiri Abosom stated that before he would consider joining any of the major parties in the event of a runoff between the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP), he would demand financial compensation from both parties for the costs he has incurred since starting his own campaign in 2020.
