Following remarks she made in public on the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) performance in the general elections of 2024, Sarah Adwoa Safo, the former member of parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, has been called before the party’s disciplinary committee.
Adwoa Safo was formally invited to visit the NPP headquarters in Asylum Down, Accra, in a letter jointly signed by William Yamoah, the Director of Finance and Administration, and Patrick Boamah, the Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee.
The hearing will be held in the party’s main conference room on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
The letter further stated that, should she desire it, the former MP is entitled to legal assistance during the process.
“Furthermore, you are entitled to legal representation during the proceedings should you so require,” the letter stated.
This comes after Adwoa Safo made comments that caused anxiety among party members, especially in relation to the NPP’s performance in the 2024 elections.
