Four suspects have been taken into custody by the Ghana Police Service in relation to a shooting incident that occurred in Nyankpala in the Northern Region and resulted in one fatality and one injury.
The suspects were captured Tuesday afternoon and were named as Majid Issah, Alhaji Bashiru Mohamed, Yakubu Simalia, and Fodi Issiage Kamara.
The suspects are in jail and will help with the investigation into the unfortunate incident, according to a police statement.
While the deceased’s body has been sent to the morgue for an autopsy, the injured victim is being treated.
The public was reassured by authorities that they will find the truth and hold those guilty accountable.
As investigations continue, the police asked the public to maintain their composure and pledged to provide updates as new information becomes available.
The suspects are currently in custody and assisting the Police investigation.
