Ernest Owusu Bempah, the Deputy Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has been reported to the party’s National Disciplinary Committee for remarks he made on social media that are allegedly against party policies.
NPP General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong signed a statement claiming that Mr. Bempah had said ,“several comments on social media suspected to be in contravention of directives issued to all NPP members.”
Recently, the party told all of its members not to say anything in public that would cause dissension or division inside the party. The statement claims that Mr. Bempah’s social media activity seems to go beyond such guidelines.
“In line with the party’s commitment to discipline and unity, Mr. Ernest Owusu Bempah is hereby referred to the National Disciplinary Committee for the necessary action,” the statement concluded.
