NIA to begin issuing Ghana Cards to children aged 6–14 from October 6
The National Identification Authority (NIA) has stated that it will begin issuing Ghana Cards to children aged 6 to 14 on Monday, October 6, 2025.
The activity will include youngsters who have previously registered and will start in 56 districts across the country. Cards will be distributed in the same schools where the children were originally registered.
To finish the process, each child must be physically present and accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Parents or guardians must also present the registration receipt (Form A) from the day of registration.

The NIA said the remaining districts would follow in the coming days and assures the public that all unprinted Ghana Card backlogs have been resolved.
More information on when new registrations for children in this age range will be available soon.
The NIA has encouraged all parents and guardians to work together to achieve a smooth and successful issuing operation.
