NDC to hold Tamale Central primaries on September 6
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has set September 6, 2025, for its parliamentary primaries in the Tamale Central Constituency ahead of the upcoming by-election.
A statement signed by General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey outlined the process, indicating that nomination forms will be available only at the Party’s Northern Regional Office.
Aspirants must pay GH¢5,000 for forms and GH¢40,000 as a filing fee, though women and persons with disabilities will enjoy a 50 percent reduction.

Payments are to be made exclusively into the Party’s account at UMB Bank, Adabraka branch.
According to the NDC’s calendar, nominations will commence on August 21 and close on August 23, with vetting taking place on August 26.
Prior to the primaries on September 6, the list of candidates who have been cleared will be released on August 27.
After MP Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed died in a helicopter crash on August 6, the Electoral Commission scheduled a by-election for September 30.
