Tragically, a 23-year-old Argentinean guy was killed by his envious girlfriend, who stabbed him with a knife for merely introducing himself to a woman on the street.
Relationships might benefit from a small amount of jealousy, but too much of it can be disastrous! Consider the sad tale of Mariano Grinspun, a 23-year-old guy from González Catán, a city in the Buenos Aires region of Argentina, who was fatally stabbed by his envious girlfriend after stopping by to say hello to a former classmate.
The startling incident happened in González Catán early on October 21st, close to the intersection of Balboa and La Bastilla streets.
While strolling hand in hand with his lover, Natacha Palavecino, Grinspun encountered a woman who greeted Mariano and inquired about his well-being. The man’s girlfriend became so enraged by the woman’s simple hello that she assaulted her with a concealed knife.
Mariano Grinspun’s fiancée didn’t really care that the woman who greeted him that fateful morning was actually an old school acquaintance. She decided she had to pay with her life after witnessing another lady who dared to approach her lover.
Palavecino cut the woman, who Argentine media only identified as LC, across the armpit with a concealed knife.
The woman collapsed to the ground and used her hand to thwart another stab attempt. Had it not been for an unnamed man who was able to remove Palavecino from her, she most likely would have been dead.
Mariano Grinspun, however, was not as fortunate. Natacha Palavecino took her anger out on her lover by slashing him in the chest after failing to murder the woman who had provoked her.
According to local surveillance footage, the pair argued for several minutes afterward, during which the victim repeatedly fell to the ground.
At one point, his 32-year-old girlfriend strikes him with her bare hands because he doesn’t get up. Despite calling emergency services, witnesses were powerless to save the man’s life.
