God decided to disgrace you with your removal as IGP—Shatta Wale to Dampare
Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, believes that the ouster of George Akuffo Dampare by John Dramani Mahama was heavenly.
He sees it as God’s judgment for how the former Inspector General of Police mistreated him.
Shatta Wale argues that the former IGP was only aware of his acts on social media, not what others, such as prophets, did to him on the same sites, which he finds concerning.
“God is disgracing all of you,” he said in a livestream on social media.
Adding that “the former IGP only saw what I posted, but those of the prophets who were doing bad things to me, he never saw them.”

It will be recalled that in 2021, Shatta Wale was arrested for allegedly spreading false information and inciting panic after the artist claimed in a Facebook post that his life was in danger.
“He has been arrested to assist the police in investigations for his alleged involvement in the creation and circulation of information intended to cause fear and panic,” a police statement said when he was arrested.
The authorities cautioned that anyone found to be disseminating fake material that is “capable of disturbing the peace of the country” will face prosecution.
