Eugene Opoku-Acheampong, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Constituency Secretary for Akwatia, claims that parliamentary candidate Ernest Yaw Kumi’s recent death was not natural, but rather the consequence of spiritual attacks planned by political opponents.
Opoku-Acheampong stated unequivocally that he feels the late Kumi’s death was not due to divine will.
“One thing I will say is that the death of Ernest Yaw Kumi is not from God, it was orchestrated by men,” he stated in an exclusive interview with Kwaku Dawuro on Movement TV,
According to him, Kumi’s untimely demise must be viewed beyond the physical.
He claimed there had been ongoing threats and whispered conversations about removing Kumi from the political space by any means necessary.
“I am stating on authority that it is a spiritual matter…we know his predicament he faced after the election,” he said.
“People were openly saying that there would be a by-election at Akwatia even if they have to use foul means to do it.”
A rising star in the NPP, Ernest Yaw Kumi ran for the seat of Akwatia and was considered a serious candidate for the party’s political future.
Opoku-Acheampong maintains that the dangers Kumi experienced before to his passing indicate a dark conspiracy hidden behind political strife, despite other political observers urging caution when reaching spiritual implications.
