Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako, the founder and head of Alive Chapel International, and his wife, Mouha Amoako, have been taken into custody in connection with the tragic East Legon accident that cost two lives.
This is in response to the Police identifying them as Elfrad Salifu Amoako’s parents, the suspected driver in the Saturday, October 12, 2024, incident.
The couple, whose 16-year-old son has been named, is being held in custody to help with the investigation.
The Service said in a statement that thus far, investigations have shown that on October 12, 2024, at Mensah Wood Street in East Legon, a 4×4 Acura driven by Joseph Ackah and carrying four other occupants, was struck by a suspect driver, Elrad, who was operating a Jaguar SUV with one other occupant.
Both cars caught fire and were severely burned.
Additionally, two of the five victims in the Acura car during the collision—Julie Agbenu and Maame Dwomoh, both 12 years old—died. The other three victims were saved.
