Bernard Bediako has stated that he is extremely optimistic about his chances in the September 2, 2025, by-election.
After the Electoral Commission declared the seat vacant following the death of the incumbent MP, Ernest Kumi, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Akwatia stated that the NDC was in a strong position to win the election.
“We are moving through the towns and communities to spread our message.
“Today is a market day in Akwatia, and fortunately, our party office is close to the market.
“We are starting there to engage the people and help them understand the need to vote for me and the NDC so that together we can drive development in Akwatia,” he said while speaking to journalists in Akwatia on Sunday, August 17.
The NDC candidate made it clear that his campaign was centered on meeting with locals face-to-face, hearing their issues, and emphasizing the party’s dedication to the constituency’s growth.
