If Kylian Mbappé doesn’t join Real Madrid in 2024, Victor Osimhen is the next striker Florentino Perez wants to sign. According to Fichajes, his nose for the target is useful to their technological endeavor.
In spite of losing Karim Benzema last summer, Los Galacticos skipped the market for a top center-forward. They spent a lot of money on Jude Bellingham and just signed experienced Joselu. They waited for the French celebrity, but their search turned up nothing.
In the end, the PSG star made amends with his group. He has the option to extend his contract, which is currently set to expire in 2024. Real Madrid would focus on Osimhen if he were to be persuaded to remain once more.
In the summer, it appeared like the Napoli star was about to extend his contract, but the negotiations stalled. One of the key issues is his eventual release clause. Until 2025, he is currently committed to the Scudetto holders.
According to Carlo Ancelotti (via Corriere dello Sport), Osimhen was not considered during the last transfer window.
“We never thought about him. We believed that signing Bellingham would make up for the departure of Benzema. He’s a serious professional and excellent. What he’s able to do at 20 years old is surprising.”
