Shatta Wale lied, he was never paid £80K – DJ Azonto reveals
Shatta Wale lied, according to Mark Kwesi Arthur, also known as DJ Azonto, when he said that he got paid £80,000 to perform at the Ghana Music Awards UK.
DJ Azonto has contributed to the controversy that has erupted between Shatta Wale and prominent media personality Akwasi Aboagye.
“As for me, what I see is that Shatta Wale is telling lies, I mean Shatta Wale is lying by saying that he was paid £80,000,” he remarked on Property FM in Cape Coast.
“There is no way Shatta Wale was paid £80K and he’s lying because what I know is that he was paid about £200K,” DJ Azonto said in an interview with Amansan Krakye.

He continued “That’s why I’m saying that Shatta Wale is lying because he took more than the amount he announced and I’m saying it emphatically.
“But it’s like a secret that I’m revealing to you because if I look at the treatment given to Shatta including his hotel and other gifts.
“Even Alordia bought me ladies’ hill worth £15K and so with the iPhone and others he bought for Shatta I think Alordia paid him like £200K.
“The accommodation alone, the wristwatch he bought for Shatta and he also bought me a gold watch so with all these he paid me £40K so how much more a big brand like Shatta Wale,” DJ concluded.
