Work hard so the North East Region can have dominant faces in NPP Gov’t – Hamid challenges

The minister for Inner City and Zongo Development, Mustapha Abdul-Hamid has tasked the people of the North East Region to work hard at ensuring that people from the region will be given leadership roles in the governing NPP.

The Minister made this known while addressing party members in the region during the launch of the NPP campaign team.

He noted that an indigene from the region occupies one of the biggest positions anyone could occupy in the country and the same can be said about others who occupy Ministerial roles and other top roles in the country.

“Vice President of the Republic of Ghana comes from this region and I’m sure that it is the highest position anybody in the North East region has occupied and If we do our work well, there will come a time when the North East region would become the region with most dominant faces in an NPP government. I’m here and I’m a Minister, Hajia Alima is a Minister and other Deputy Ministers and CEOs.Walahi, anybody who says the North East region is not favoured under the Akufo-Addo administration, the person is a liar.” He disclosed

“Showing gratitude is part of faith. Allah says in the Quran that if you show gratitude, I will send my favour upon you. But if you are ungrateful, then prepare for my punishment which is severe. And so we have to show to President Akufo-Addo for the kinds of favour that he has done to our region. Indeed what has Akufo-Addo wants from us? He only wants us to mobilize the people in the region to be able to win a second term for him, on or after December 7. That’s the only thing he wants from us because there are regions that brought in more votes that do not have the kind of representation we have.”
