Rapper, Sarkodie, has been asked to testify before an Accra High Court on a matter about which he is considered to be knowledgeable.
Jude Osei, a frustrated Ghanaian, has filed a lawsuit against Kantanka Automobile, which is led by Kwadwo Safo Jnr.
Sarkodie will testify in front of the High Court on Monday, July 13 on behalf of either the plaintiff or the defendant.
Kantanka Automobile and Kwadwo Safo Jnr. have been sued for a failed social media promise made under the username kantanka daily.
Plaintiff Jude Osei stated in a writ issued on May 14, 2019, that he received a message from Kantaka Automobile urging him to share an image of a Kantaka Automobile car on Twitter and that if he could get 30,000 retweets, he would be awarded a Kantanka Mensa car.
After almost a year, Jude Osei had accumulated about 30,000 retweets.
He then sent Kantanka a message asking for his reward, but about the same time, Kantanka Automobile issued a disclaimer stating that any tweet offering 30,000 retweets for Kantanka Mensa should be regarded a hoax.
Jude Osei voiced his displeasure with the company’s silence, and the company did not issue a disclaimer for nearly a year, only notifying it when he had garnered over 30,000 retweets. On this basis, he proceeded to court.
