Others are peacefully anticipating the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries scheduled for November 4, 2023, while some candidates are engaged in “showdowns” of their lives.
One of the four candidates for the NPP flagbearership, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, a former minister of food and agriculture, is generally composed and light-hearted.
Dr. Owusu, whose motto is ATOPA (Akoto Tops All), was compelled to perform the Adow dance for the mourners at a funeral.

In a video posted by Juaso-based Ahwenepa, the former minister of food and agriculture was seen dancing the lovely Akan dance.
The funeral attendants could be seen applauding him , as others showered cash on him.
Following the voting by the NPP elections committee for the November 4 primaries on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto was ranked third.
Kennedy Agyapong, a member of parliament from Assin Central, drew first place. Francis Addia-Nimoh, a former member of parliament for Mampong, and vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia took the second and fourth spots, respectively.
