Tonto Dikeh promises to provide Mohbad’s son with a full scholarship and a monthly allowance of N100,000

Nollywood star Tonto Dikeh has vowed to help the late Mohbad’s family obtain justice for his untimely passing.

The mother of Mohbad was informed by Tonto Dikeh that she and her son King Andre would provide their 5-month-old kid with a complete scholarship up to his graduation from high school.

Additionally, she pledged to provide the boy 100k Naira each month until he completes his education.

Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, better known by his stage name Mohbad, passed away last week, but doubts have been raised over how he was buried.

On Thursday, Senator Abbo and the Nollywood celebrities paid a visit to Mohbad’s family in the Lekki neighborhood of Lagos State to express their condolences while Nigerians were demonstrating and demanding justice for the late rapper.

Mohbad’s mother was told by Senator Abbo that she would be protected and that the circumstances surrounding his son’s death would be looked into.

In the meantime, Mohbad’s body has finally been unearthed for an autopsy.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesman for the Lagos State Police, announced the news on Thursday on his X account.

A 13-person special investigation team was established by the Lagos State Police Command to look into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s untimely death on Tuesday of last week, as LEADERSHIP has previously reported. Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, also known as Mohbad, was a deceased Nigerian musician whose body was excavated for an examination.

Lagos State Police spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed the development via his X handle on Thursday.

The Lagos Police image maker wrote: “Exhumation completed. Autopsy to commence. #JusticeForMohad #Justice4Mohbad.”

LEADERSHIP had earlier reported that a 13-man special investigation team was inaugurated by the Lagos State Police Command to probe the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s sudden death last week Tuesday.

Recall that few days ago, it was all over the news that Nigerian Afrobeats star, Mohbad has sadly passed away after a short illness.

Details of his death are still sketchy as of the time of this report.

 

 

 

Mohbad was born on June 6, 1998, and had in the past reportedly wanted to commit suicide according to his colleague Akinbiyi Abiola better known as Bella Shmurda.

Mohbad, who had been gaining recognition as a rising star in the Nigerian music scene, had crafted a unique musical style that blended elements of pop, Afrobeat, and hip-hop. His songwriting prowess and lyrical talent set him apart, making him a promising figure in the industry.

In 2022, Mohbad released his debut album, titled “Imole,” which quickly gained commercial success. The album spawned several chart-topping hits, including “See My Benz,” “Kimi,” and “Ronaldo,” further solidifying his place in the hearts of music enthusiasts.
