SHS 1 Opening Date: No School Has Any Right To Issue Prospectus – Education Ministry Warns

According to the Ministry of Education, every SHS 1 student in the nation would use the same prospectus.

A spokesman for the government claims that school administrators are not permitted to distribute any other prospectuses that have not been approved by the ministry.

In an interview with Ghana Montie on NEAT FM’s morning broadcast, Kwesi Kwateng advised parents to reject school prospectuses.

“No parent should accept any prospectus; we are using a harmonized one,” he told host Mac Jerry Osei Agyemang.

Despite requests to reevaluate the reopening date, first-year senior high school students nationwide are scheduled to report to their respective schools on Monday, December 4.

For a variety of reasons, parents and other pertinent stakeholders have requested an extension of the reporting period; nevertheless, the Ghana Education Service (GES) has insisted on the December 4 date.
