The Freedom Wave Concert for this year has been canceled by Shatta Wale.
The Freedom Wave Concert will take place on December 25, 2023, Shatta Wale revealed at the beginning of September.
Several activities that will begin on December 20 and end on December 25 were listed on a flyer that was shared on social media.
Days later, Stonebwoy, the president of Bhim Nation, also revealed plans for his yearly end-of-year concert, which would take place on December 22 at the same location.
Shatta Wale, who was not pleased with this situation, vented his annoyances on social media. His event with Medikal, which has been staged at the Accra Sports Stadium for the previous two years, was allegedly being attempted to be sabotaged by the BET award winner and his staff.
The management of “Ayoo” hitmaker Sammy Atuoba Baah, also known as Sammy Flex, confirmed the concert’s cancellation to GhanaWeekend by saying:
“As a result of this brouhaha, Shatta Wale has decided to cancel the Freedom Wave Concert altogether.”
Sammy Flex quickly stated that there are no plans to stage the concert elsewhere for now “The show has been cancelled until we receive a positive update from the National Sports Authority (NSA).”
