Schools in the area will be open on Thursday and Friday, according to the Ghana Education Service’s (GES) Greater Accra Regional Directorate.
This is in accordance with the newly decided-upon closure of stores, offices, and educational institutions from Thursday through Saturday for the burial ceremonies of the deceased Ga Manye Naa Dede Omardru III.
The plan to close stores, workplaces, and schools on Tuesday was changed, limiting the shutdown to just Saturdays.
The Ga Traditional Council’s previous decision was declared void by the GES in a statement.
