
Sad news hit D-Black
Desmond Kwesi Blackmore, better known as D’Black, is a Ghanaian artist and the CEO of Black Avenue Music. He just revealed the tragic news of his brother’s demise.
In a somber announcement on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, he wrote, “Terrible day for me. Just lost one of my big brothers. 10 of us, 1 gone too soon.”

D’Black hails from a huge family of nine siblings and was born to a Ghanaian mother, Adeline Boateng, and a father, John Derek Blackmore, who is half-Ghanaian and half-English. Pamela Blackmore, Anthony Blackmore, George Blackmore, and Stanley Blackmore are some of the siblings that are well-known.
To identify of the deceased sibling and the reason for their demise have not yet been made public.
But well-wishers and admirers have been flooding in with condolences and genuine sympathy, providing their support and solace in this trying time.
