Famous Ghanaian journalist, Nana Aba Anamoah has urged Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta to step down if, as he claims to be, he is a practicing Christian.
Ken Ofori-Atta has received requests for resignation from a number of sources, and Ms. Aba Anamoah wants him to do so.
She wants Ken Ofori-Atta to resign and walk away.
“If you have a conscience and humility as the Christian you make us believe you are, you’ll acknowledge that the voice of people is the voice of God. RESIGN, KEN OFORI-ATTA. WALK AWAY,” She posted on social media.
Ghana’s economy is currently in a crisis as a result of the fast falling value of the Cedi and rising inflation. To aid with balance of payment issues, the government is looking for a bailout from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Ken Ofori-dismissal Atta’s has been demanded by numerous individuals and organizations. Currently, almost 80 New Patriotic Party (NPP) members of parliament have demanded his dismissal.
