Police arrest confessed robbers in viral video
The police have detained two alleged robbers, “Demon Town” and his accomplice from Aputuogya in the Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti Region.
In a widely shared film, the pair could be seen threatening to stab anyone who opposed their attempts to take objects from them.
Aputuogya residents who were thought to be sheltering the two suspects were raided by members of the Kuntenase District Police Patrol team following a tip, according to a police situational report that MyNewsGh.com was able to view.
The residents of the town who had earlier conducted a raid on the aforementioned property turned over 23-year-old suspect Ibrahim Mohammed to the police.
During questioning, the suspect stated that he resides in Madina, Accra, but is originally from Adansi Fomena Kusa. The second suspect in the video, Kwame Sarpong, who is a distant relative, extended an invitation to the suspect to visit the Bosomtwe District approximately a month ago, according to the other suspect.
The police have captured his accomplice, who was unemployed and on the run.
The owner of the home where the suspects were kept will be questioned, according to the police.
Ibrahim Mohammed, the suspect, is anticipated to appear in court to be charged.
