After police invaded his premises to accomplish his arrest over an unlawful connection, a Ghanaian pastor who heads Church Elders of Ossa Madih Church at Etsi Fawomanye in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District of the Central Region reportedly jumped over a fence wall to avoid being arrested.
According to Kasapaonline.com, the so-called man of God has been doing unlawful things to the mission house for the past five years and has not paid his electrical bills for a year.
He was caught after employees from Ghana’s Electricity Company discovered the illegal connection at the church while conducting fieldwork to check for faults on some meters.
Maxwell Essel, the manager of the Electricity Company of Ghana’s Ajumako Enyan Essiam District, verified the report to Kasapa News while condemning the pastor’s actions.
Meanwhile, he has been declared wanted, and police are conducting a manhunt for him.
Maxwell Essel revealed that in the evenings in the district, a Task Force is going around verifying illicit electricity connections, encouraging the public to cease or face prosecution.
