Maradona Yeboah Adjei, also known as Guru NKZ in the entertainment industry and a musician and rapper from Ghana, has advised football players against having sex before going out to play.
While the majority of football players think it helps them stay in shape before matches, some think it hinders one’s performance and attention both before and during matches.
Guru claims that only ‘unserious, aimless, and visionless’ football players engage in such behavior, adding that it is wise to focus on important concerns rather than trivial matters.
Speaking to Kumasi-based Angel FM, Guru said “Every football with aim and vision will never have sex with a woman before going onto the field to play. We do what is more important than what pleases the world.”
You may recall that former Black Stars defender Muhammed Gargo refuted the myth that having sex makes athletes less competitive, as reported by Modernghana.
Players shouldn’t abstain from sex for a long time, according to Gargo, as it restricts their flexibility.
The idea that sex is helpful for football players because they need it to balance themselves is shared by certain sports fitness trainers.
