Candidates for executive positions in the Ashanti Region of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have the option of paying for their forms via the online payment system Mobile Money (Momo).
According to a dailyguidenetwork.com report, this choice was made for strategic considerations.
A specific Momo number has been reserved for the exercise in order to make it as effective as the party anticipates.
It said that this is in addition to the party’s own online electronic registration tool.
A deadline of Friday, October 7, 2022 was set for the submission of nomination forms by those competing for various positions within the NDC.
All candidates are anticipated to have paid their full monthly dues for a period of four years in order to consolidate their nominations and demonstrate eligibility, the report continued.
Following this, candidates must print off their forms and deliver them personally before moving on to the face-to-face screening stage.
Following the conclusion of these phases, elections will be held for the victorious candidates.
