NDC accuses Akufo-Addo of commissioning Mahama projects

During the President’s most recent trip to the Ashanti Region, the National Democratic Congress accused the New Patriotic Party of ordering projects started by the Mahama administration.

The party claims that despite making numerous promises during the election process, President Akufo-Addo has let down the residents of the region.

Speaking to the media, Abass Nurudeen, the NDC’s Ashanti Regional Communications Director, claimed that the NPP’s lackluster performance had vindicated the NDC.

NDC accuses Akufo-Addo of commissioning Mahama projects

“President, Akufo-Addo has very little to show for all his unprecedented borrowing,” Mr. Nurudeen said.

The Kejetia Central Market, which President Akufo-Addo visited while on his tour, was started by former president Mahama, he stated.

However, the Ashanti Region infrastructure record of the NPP has been strongly defended.

The NPP’s communications director, Richard Ahiagbah, said that governance should be viewed as a continuum in these situations.

“They are the ones who will tell you that government is a continuum. All the debt they incurred as they are sitting in opposition now, who is paying it?”
