
Mr. Eazi reveals the amount Shatta Wale as performance fee
Dancehall performer Shatta Wale has received praise from musician Mr. Eazi for his efforts to support up-and-coming musicians, even when it means forgoing his enormous performance fee.
According to the singer, Shatta Wale typically charges $250,000 for his appearance at a musical event; but, he chose to forego it so that other artists would also receive the attention they deserve.
He heaped admiration on Shatta Wale for organizing the performance and letting other up-and-coming performers showcase their talents.

Speaking in an interview with Nigeria FM, Mr. Eazi revealed how much money Shatta Wale demands in advance of his appearance as a performance fee.
“Shatta Wale in Ghana realized nobody could pay his fee so he did something for the young artistes. Last year in December he came and performed at my show for free meanwhile he charges $250,000 as a performance fee.
“He also held a free stadium show [Freedom Wave Concert] and I even performed for him. We had about 50,000 people attending the event. He did this to showcase the other up-and-coming artistes as well,” said Mr. Eazi.
Celebrities in the entertainment industry have already expressed their adoration for the dancehall musician. Tinny, KK Fosu, Nana Aba Anamoah, and other celebrities have all provided nice feedback about the Shatta Movement chief.
The amount of money Shatta Wale costs to play at a musical event has become the subject of public discussion.
