Monday, July 11 declared as public holiday
A public holiday has been declared by the government for Monday, July 11. This is due to the fact that Eid-ul-Adha is celebrated on July 9, a Saturday.
Thus, Monday has been proclaimed a holiday by President Nana Akufo-Addo in compliance with Section 2 of the Public Days Act (601).

The Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery, asked everyone to mark the day all around the nation in a statement.
The Feast of Sacrifice, also known as Eid al-Adha, is one of the two major religious holidays observed by Muslims around the world.
The festival is usually opened with special prayers before the slaughtering of goat, sheep or cow, among others.
