Shatta Wale, a contentious reggae-dancehall performer, has expressed his sincere thanks to Medikal, a buddy and fellow student at the stubborn academy, for gifting him $10,209.56.

Shatta Wale triumphed against well-known performers like Black Sherif, Stonebwoy, and Sarkodie to win “Artist of the Year” at the Taabea Ghana Music Awards UK, which has already drawn criticism.

Shatta posted a snapshot of the cash in his bank account along with the comment “Thank you” on the story of his official Snapchat account.
