How Obour saved me when I was broke – Eno Barony recounts
Eno Barony, a gifted female rapper from Ghana, recently told a remarkable tale in an interview with Kingdom FM. She disclosed how Obour, a well-known figure in the music industry and a former MUSIGA President, saved her when she was in need of financial assistance.
Eno Barony enthusiastically related the tale, stating that she was having financial difficulties when Obour called her out of the blue and requested her to come to the East Legon Police Station. She went there out of curiosity to find that Obour had really asked her to do a freestyle at his birthday celebration, which was taking place in the exclusive East Legon Executive Club.
In addition to showcasing Eno Barony’s skill, this unanticipated opportunity gave her the much-needed boost to her career. She went on to say that the MC quickly collected all of the money that was thrown at her throughout the performance and put it in his pockets. After that, Obour gave the MC strict instructions to give the money back to Eno because it was properly hers.
She said, “I got there and took a microphone. It was Osei Kuffour’s birthday. As I was performing, they were throwing cash at me, but I could not take any of it. On my way out, I decided to go and greet Despite and some of the attendees.
As we shook hands, they would add swabs of money to the handshake. When I got home, I looked like a pastor who had received an offertory in church. When I opened the swabs of money, I saw Euros, Dollars, and Cedis. Charley God bless Obour.”
