This is why I sued Lilwin – Martha Ankomah explains

Actress Martha Ankomah, from Ghana, has stated that legal proceedings concerning her lawsuit against colleague Kwadwo Nkansah, also referred to as Lilwin, are still pending.

The actress has stated that she does not intend to withdraw the lawsuit because she wants the legal system to work its course.

“I have not withdrawn the suit, I believe the rule of law works in this country.

“So I don’t think you can insult anyone and go scot-free. If we say we are role models, people must learn from us so we have to set good examples. So I took it to court. Please it’s not a joke because it takes years to build a brand,” she stated in an interview with Accra-based UTV.

This is why I sued Lilwin – Martha Ankomah explains

On February 14, 2024, Miss Ankomah filed a lawsuit against Lilwin for making disparaging remarks about her ethics and professionalism.

The actress filed a lawsuit at the Accra High Court, demanding GH¢5 million in damages, as well as an apology and the removal of the aforementioned, very offensive comments.

Martha, meanwhile, is hopeful that the court will take the appropriate action in this situation.

“If the court doesn’t teach him a lesson, it will be a very bad example that may encourage the next generation to just say anything about people,” she added.
