Mahama supports Buz stop boys with GH¢50,000

A noteworthy demonstration of backing for ecological preservation, former President John Dramani Mahama gave the Buzstopboys GH¢50,000. The purpose of this donation is to help the organization buy supplies and machinery for their Clean Ghana campaign.

Mahama stressed the value of volunteerism in preserving urban cleanliness during the donation occasion. He emphasized the problems caused by urban anonymity and the increasing amounts of rubbish generated in urban areas. He pointed out that despite their growing population, metropolitan centers frequently lack the communal hygiene standards found in rural areas.

Mahama reflected on his early years, recalling the habit of cleaning the house and its environs first thing in the morning, which he noticed had diminished with time. “When I saw you guys, young people, filling in that gap, I thought that you needed to be encouraged,” he said, praising the Buzstopboys for their dedication to improving sanitation.

The former president also brought attention to the serious issue of plastic pollution, stressing in particular how commonplace styrofoam and plastic are in food packaging. He urged people to support nonpartisan organizations like the Buzstopboys and called on the public to do so. “This is not something I’m doing to get your vote. He said, “I just want to encourage you.”

Mahama’s gesture comes after prominent rapper Charles Nii Armah Mensah, also known as Shatta Wale, gave the Buzstopboys GH¢30,000 recently in a similar act of kindness. These coordinated efforts highlight the rising realization that community-driven programs are necessary to address Ghana’s sanitation problems.
