“MAD HOUSE” MOVIE TO BE PREMIERED AT THE NATIONAL THEATRE

The issue of  quality mental health services in Ghana is on that has no attention attached to it with just a menial   support from the  Government and it associated  stakeholders.

There numerous people across the country from various social class including celebrities and people from the professional society undergoing through one form of mental illness or the other.

With this as the focal point and in the bid to promote mental health comes the movie *Madhouse*.

Centred around addressing some causes of mental illness, retrospective activities among patient with mental illness and its associated challenges at the facility using the Accra Psychiatric hospital as a location.

The movie also aims at demystifying the stigma associated with people living with mental health illness.

The cast is an array of both the Twi speaking and English speaking actors including Akwasi Boadi known as Akrobeto who plays the role of a hard working lawyer who engages in substance abuse to help his successful  career. Bismark Nii Odoi known as Bismark the Joke and Richmond  Amoako known as lawyer Nti are students of the university  who through no faults of theirs got entangled in the war of love of two ladies and ended up in the psychiatric hospital.

Other cast includes; Ekow Smith, Stephen Mawunyo ( Oteele), Jessica Williams, Prince Amaoabeng, Abeiku Nyame (Jagga Pee), Samuel Daba, Kofi Adjorlolo,  Christian .A. Asamoah ( Big Akwess), Herbet .A. Korley (Aweele) and host of many others.

Madhouse premiers at the National Theatre on the 15th of June 2019 in Accra and Red carpet starts at 6:30pm. The first show will commerce at 7pm and the second show will be at 9pm.

Kumasi will enjoy theirs on the 22nd of June 2019 at the Watch and Dine Cinema.

Koforidua, on the 23rd of June at the new Theatre  at the Koforidua Center for National Theatre.

The movie is produced by MKON multimedia and Listowell Productions and directed  by Michael  Kwaku Ola and Frank Fiifi Gharbin.

You can’t  afford to miss this edu- comedy movie.
