First-degree murder charges have been brought against a 21-year-old Florida woman for allegedly killing her sister with a knife after discovering she had been making out with her boyfriend.
Sayma Marzan, 20, was reportedly slain by Fatiha Marzan at 4:30 a.m. on September 26 in the bedroom they shared in their Orlando-area home
According to the Orlando Sentinel, Fatiha had just learned that her sister and her long-distance partner of five years had been flirting via messages sent through a video game they both played.
After finding out that her lover had told Sayma he loved her, she allegedly made the decision to murder Sayma.
Two weeks prior to the stabbing, Fatiha purchased a “dagger style knife set” from Amazon, according to police.
Police claim that after hiding the knives in a cupboard, the woman took one out and reportedly stabbed her sister three to four times in the heart in the bedroom they shared.
At 7:30 p.m., hours later, Fatiha apparently told 911 that she had stabbed her sister.
When deputies arrived, they discovered Sayma deceased inside the house.
According to officials, Fatiha admitted to stabbing Sayma three to four times, specifically in the heart.
She is being jailed without bond at the Orange County Jail.
