Today, November 16, 2023, a state funeral for the late First Lady Theresa Kufuor will take place at the State House Forecourt.
The program will start with a file past at 7 a.m. and end with a burial mass at 9 a.m.
On Saturday, November 18, at Heroes Park in Kumasi, the former First Lady will have her last burial rituals.
At the age of 87, the former First Lady passed away on Sunday, October 1, at her Peduase home in the company of her loved ones.
At the function, which took place at Christ the King Catholic Church in Cantonments, Accra, attendees included prominent figures, politicians, New Patriotic Party members, and the late former first lady’s relatives and friends.
Theresa Kufuor was the first lady of Ghana from 2001 until 2009 after being married to former president John Kufuor in 1962.
