JB Danquah case: Accused released from prison after 8 years on remand

Vincent Bosso, 34, was freed from Nsawam Medium Prison after the High Court in Accra found him not guilty and dismissed him from his case in connection with the murder of former Abuakwa North MP J.B. Danquah.

The court chaired by Justice Lydia Osei Marfo released Bosso, also known as Junior Agoogo, on March 19 after ruling that the prosecution had not shown a prima facie case against him.

Agoogo and Daniel Asiedu, sometimes known as Sexy Don Don, were accused of plotting to loot. But he was released after the prosecution called eight witnesses.

Bosso was freed from lawful detention after eight years, one day after prison service personnel announced their intention to do so.

Paperwork delayed his release on Friday, March 22, when his mother and attorneys were present at Nsawam Prison to greet him.

In an interview, Agoogo’s mother, Juliet Bosso, stated that her son Vincent Bosso will now go as Succeed Bosso.
