I’m a fighter – Ten Hag speaks after losing to Newcastle
After Newcastle United eliminated the holders from the EFL Cup on Wednesday, Erik ten Hag referred to himself as a “fighter” and expressed his continued confidence in his ability to turn around Manchester United’s situation.
Man United has had a rough start to the season; they are now eighth in the rankings with 15 points, 11 points behind Premier League leaders Tottenham Hotspur, and will play Fulham early on Saturday.

“I take responsibility for it, I see it as a challenge,” he said after the 3-0 home defeat to Newcastle, United’s eighth loss from 15 matches to confirm their worst start to a season since 1962/63.
“I’m a fighter, and I’m in a fight and I have to make sure that I share responsibility with my players, and that we stick together and fight together and get better results.
